FRIENDS

I would like to write about friends!

I have stayed in here for about 7 monthes since I came here. I'm gonna leave here in the end of August. So, about in 4 month... I know time is so fast. When I get in Canada, I was excited and worried about If I can make new friends.  Then, I started studying in September. My first class was 250 levels. I really enjoyed in 250 class with my classmates even though the class was hard for me..haha 
Gradually, I could have many foreigner friends! It' s so happy to have new friends for me!! And I can know each country's culture. That was surprising, shocking or amazing! All of them are so nice!


After last December,　half of my close friends went back to their country.. It was really sad for me...I'm still missing them..

Since I came here, I hate to say good bye to my friends. It's because I have friends that I may not to see forever. There are some friends we can see each other or I can't see them anymore...I have rarely have such a experience.


Recently, I'm thinking about time when I go back to Japan if I have nothing to do at the time. I have just 4 month left until go back to Japan. It's short time for me.  Although I said to my friends who go back to their country until now, my turn is coming up to say good bye.　I will be sad just thinking about it...


Do you miss your country's friends?
I sometimes miss my Japanese friends, but I can see them easily after get back Japan. So...It's fine! haha


I don't want to get back Japan if it's possible, because I'm having fun this life with my friends! I would like to stay here more! However, I can't. Because of my university program...
Therefore, I'm going to enjoy rest of my time more than now with my friends!!!;) like hang out, talking, having a party, drinking or studying together!　I will try to not regret! I want to make a lot of memories with you!!!

MOVIE

I'm going to tell about movie I have watched recently.

I watched two movies!

First one is Hunger Games.

Type of movie is action.

The main character name is Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss Everdeen.

The sub character name is Josh Hutcherson as Peeta Mellark.

This story is Every year in the ruins of what was once North America, the nation of Panem forces each of its twelve districts to send a teenage boy and girl to compete in the Hunger Games. Part twisted entertainment, part government intimidation tactic, the Hunger Games are a nationally televised event in which "Tributes" must fight with one another until one survivor remains. Pitted against highly-trained Tributes who have prepared for these Games their entire lives, Katniss is forced to rely upon her sharp instincts as well as the mentorship of drunken former victor Haymitch Abernathy. If she's ever to return home to District 12, Katniss must make impossible choices in the arena that weigh survival against humanity and life against love.

It was so good even though I couldn't understand all !! hahaha

But I think it's kind of scary.

The other one is Mirror Mirror.

Type of movie is comedy and fantasy.

The main character name is Lily Collins as Snow White.

The sub character name is Julia Roberts as the Queen.

The story is about after a beloved King vanishes, his ruthless wife seizes control of the kingdom and keeps her beautiful 18-year-old stepdaughter, Snow White, hidden away in the palace. But when the princess attracts the attention of a charming and wealthy visiting prince, the jealous Queen banishes the girl to a nearby forest. Taken in by a band of rebellious but kindhearted dwarfs, Snow White blossoms into a brave young woman determined to save her country from the Queen. With the support of her new friends, she roars into action to reclaim her birthright and win back her Prince.

I enjoyed this movie! Also, Julia Roberts is one of my favorite actress. She is so beautiful woman and good acting!

I recommend you this two kind of movies!
Fortunately, you can get popcorn and 1 drink or you can buy a ticket cheap if you go to St vital cinemas on Tuesday!!!

When you are hungry... what do you want to eat??

I'm going to tell you about food that I have ever eaten  in Japan!
Because I was so much hungry a little while ago....hahaha





The big one is a “oyakodon”.
The yellow one is made from eggs ( like a scramble egg) and circular something is grilled chicken.
Below that there is rice.
This is not usual style, just eggs on the rice is usual.
But even if there are not only eggs something else, it's good!

 This is a hot pot with crab!
Maybe almost all Japanese women love to eat a hot pot.
I also love it!
It's so healthy and hot!.
When the season is winter, it's much better to eat this!

 This is a udon. Udon is like kind of noodle. However It's not usual udon.
I went to famous specialty udon shop and then they have a lot of kind of udon.
I ordered it. It name is sukiyaki udon. Sukiyaki is also kind of hot pot. Main filling is beef! I love it so much!
It's really good combination!
So, if you try this one, you will be able to eat sukiyaki and udon!

This is a row fish. We call it sashimi.
When I traveled with my family in Japan, we ate this in the hotel.
It looks nice! The fishes were so fresh!
Sashimi  pretty match with beer! I guess!








 When I went to Tokyo Disney land, I eat it.
It looks cute and taste is good.
All Tokyo Disney land's food look so cute and nice.
They care about looks, I think.
That's why, I feel like taking pictures about such as food.









This two pictures look so similar.
But It's not same.
The left one is okonomiyaki. Ingredient is flour and some vegetables and we grill it.







The  right one is Hiroshimayaki.
Ingredient is not flour, but noodle!
Both are so delicious!
 If you go to Osaka or Hiroshima, you should eat them!

This meal is made by my mother.
I think it is common Japanese style in supper.
The fish name is saury( sanma).
We often eat this fish when the season is autumn.

For me, Japanese food makes me hungry!!!haha
I love to eat anything! I want to know food of various countries!

Recreation area in my home country

I'm going to write about recreation area in Japan.


For me, it's Yokohama. It's because Yokohama is my home city and near from Tokyo. I grew up in Yokohama since I was born. So, my kindergarten, elementary school, junior high school and high school is in Yokohama. Unfortunately, only university is not in Yokohama. Also, I had worked as a part time job in Yokohama twice. I got two jobs at that time. The first one was a cake shop clerk. I just sold cakes. The other one was a specialty of salad shop and also, I was a just cashier. So, almost everyday I went to Yokohama to work.




Yokohama has a lot of attractive things. There are many kinds of restaurants, movies, an amusement park, a big tower and big shopping malls. I can buy in big shopping mall whatever I want . Big tower is 269.33m. If you go to the observatory, you can see the entire of Yokohama. By the end, do you know ramen?? It's noodle. Many favorite ramen shops is in Yokohama. I miss it so so so much!!! haha If you come to Yokohama, I want to take you to the delicious ramen shop!       　　　　　　　　　　　yummy ;) →                                                             



And Yokohama is very convenient for traffic. We can go to anywhere easily. For example, Tokyo, easy to transfer to shinkansen( bullet train) and so on.




Then, Yokohama would be good place for couple, because there are many romantic places. Yokohama has harbor. The mood is really nice when outside is getting dark. I mean, night view is really beautiful!!!  Besides, in summer, we can see big and great fireworks near from the harbor. It's pretty good!!! I visit to see the fireworks every summer!








I go to Yokohama whenever I am free, because I do love Yokohama!!!!!:)
When I was in Japan,  even as I came to Yokohama if I had been to somewhere except Yokohama,  I feel like ease, somehow. It's so comfortable for me!!
If you have chance to visit to Japan, I want to introduce you about Yokohama! Maybe you will like it! That's why, recreation area for me is Yokohama!

Maki sushi

I would like to tell you about  how to make maki sushi !!!!!
I think it's not so much popular in Japan. Actually, I have never tried to make maki sushi by myself in Japan. Anyway, making maki sushi is so fun!




First of all, you should prepare some ingredients.
1 rice
2 vinegar ( rice vinegar is much better if it is possible)
3 seaweed
4 filling ( for example, avocado, salmon, cucumber or crab)
5 soy sauce


Let's begin!

First, gently mix with rice and vinegar. Fan rice (if you want). Then repeat the process!
Next, setting the seaweed on the sushi mat. At this time, the shiny side is down. You must be careful! Gathering 1 cup of rice and then cover the seaweed evenly. The important thing is you should save 1 inch margin. Then, put the arrange fillings evenly. Don't use too much filling! Lift edge up and over filling. Tuck the mat tightly and roll to secure. Finally, slice the sushi!



How to make maki sushi is very easy and fun!!! Filling is you can choose whatever you like. My  favorite flavor is avocado and salmon!

Japanese wedding

I would like to tell you about wedding in Japan.


Actually, I have been to wedding just once and it was so long time ago...I was 8 years old. I don't remember exactly.





We have two types of wedding style. 
First one is Brides who choose to have a traditional Japanese wedding at a shrine wear a white kimono, called“shiro muku”. It means white and pure and also symbolizes that the bride will give up her family and become the color of her husband's family. Also, the bride wear a big round white hat caled “wata boushi” so that no one else except the groom will see her face before the ceremony. The bride dressed in all white adds to the solemn atmosphere of the traditional wedding.

The other one is same as Canadian wedding style. It is weird that even though the Christian population is less than 1% in Japan, more than 60% of the couples that get married choose a Christian style wedding. I think it's because many brides want to wear a wedding dress. There aren't many occasions for Japanese ladies to wear a long dress except at their own wedding. Also, most couples prefer foreign ministers just for the “look”. So, there is a rumor that ceremonial halls will hire anyone who looks like a minister as a part time job.








I prefer to Christian style, because I want to wear wedding dress!

Cancun trip

I' d like to tell you about Cancun trip :)


After  we left Mexico( my before post), I went to Cancun. Do you know Cancun?? This place is also in Mexico. It was really fun and all view was so beautiful. I love ocean and like to swim and to see. Cancun was so hot! The degree was almost over 30 ℃. I don't have to wear clothes for winter, just summer style even though the season was January.





The picture was near from a hotel which we stayed was so beautiful! I was so excited and then we went to this beach after put my luggage and jumped in the sea! The wave was strong. Unfortunately, I've lost my skirt of swimsuit...haha






Another day, we went to Cozumel which I think the most beautiful ocean. I snorkeled at that place! Actually, I really wanted to scuba diving, the price was expensive..I couldn't that...:'( However, snorkeling was fun! I could see a lot of pretty fishes
I had so good seafood lunch.

At the night, we went to one of famous night clubs in Mexico“COCOBONGO”. I think it was not night club. It was like a show.! I saw various kind of shows, like spiderman, pirates of caribbian, lady gaga and so on. Nobody was drunk at that night ;) hahaha  I enjoyed seeing the shows a lot!!!








Also, we went to Cenote at the next day to swim and to see. Cenote is a mysterious fountain and looks so beautiful. The inside was kind of dark and suddenly, I heard something that somebody was playing instruments. It was traditional music, I guess. haha









After that, we went to Chichen itza. Chichen itza is very famous Maya civilization heritage in Mexico. It is one of world heritage sites and easy to go there , because close to Cenote.
Chichen itza has many mystery story. We had a guide to know the Chichen itza story. I t was interesting for me.






I was satisfied too much that I had been to Cancun! I enjoyed spending very good time in Cancun!!! It was beautiful ocean, delicious food and talking with friends! I would like to visit to Cancun again If it is possible! I really recommend you that Cancun would be good for your wedding trip because of the ocean ;)

Mexico trip

I'm going to tell you about when I went to Mexico.


The end of December last year, I left in Winnipeg with my Japanese friend (She is Mika who is IEP student now)after final exam. It was second time going to foreign country with my friend. The reason why because I visited to Mexico is to see my friend Sebastian who was IEP student before, and also sight seeing! It was really exciting for me. I had never been to Mexico.



The first day, We get in Mexico finally! We met him and his family at the airport and then they picked us up to his hometown. It took 4 hours by a car from airport to his house. So long time!!

The next day was Christmas day. We went to church, which was very bid and gorgeous. Then, went to stand food. There were a lot of traditional food and toys. We tried to eat like spicy corn. It's corn with spicy　powder. It was good. And we bought some souvenirs such as misanga and maraca.












The another day, I went to three beautiful places. One of my most favorite places is Guanajuato I have ever been. People call these Guanajuato.  There were a lot of color houses. It was so beautiful and world heritage site.




At that place, Mexican food and drinks was so delicious I had eaten. The food name is Quesadilla. It includes some vegetable and PORK BRAIN! Sounds like weird. I was surprised! I thought pork brain was bad, taste was so good, though.





Besides, I tried to drink Tequilla which was strong alcohol. Looks so nice! It was kind of sweet and good, also.






New year eve,  we went to his grand father's house to welcome new year with them and ate many kind of foods. It was so fun!
We had special dinner for new year, saw fireworks, talking and drinking and so on.

The last day before we left in his home, we went to different beautiful city. That was also good! I bought many souvenirs in there. Maybe 10 to 15 things?? However, almost all Mexican goods are very cheaper than Canada. So, I could buy them a lot! The heart magnet which I bought was so pretty!I was satisfied to get enough souvenirs!

I had stayed in his house for about 11 days. All of food which his mother made were so delicious!!! That's why I was getting fat since I get back in Winnipeg from Mexico. haha  I could have experience like homestay and also, all of his family and reletives were too sweet and kind for us. I will never forget that time. I appriciate them so much! I really would like to visit there again to see his family and to eat Mexican food :)!!!

How to enjoy the weekend for under $20

I recommend you how to enjoy the weekend for under $20.

There are two ways.

First, you prepare lunch box for you and your family or friends and go out somewhere. For example, go to big park near from your home and then playing badminton, soccer or frisbee and just taking. You should go to beach If the season is summer! It will be so good. Maybe everybody would have like this experiences. I also have been to the beach with my lunch box in summer time. I enjoyed spending good time. it needs just swimming suits, toweｌ, drinks and lunch box!! we don't have to have a lot of money.


Second one is making meal! It's really cheap and fun! First of all, you have to go to super store to get ingredients. You should be careful about cost if possible. And begin cooking something! Actually, I made sushi several times with my friends in residence. It was good time. Making sushi with friends while teaching how to make sushi is so fun for me! My friends also spent good time, hopefully.


This is my recommend you how to enjoy the weekend.
 If you have another ways, please let me know! I really want to know about it! It's  because I don't have any money now...so I have to know! haha

Two places you have visited

I'm going write about two places I have visited. 

First of all, a place I have visited is Winnipeg !I have stayed for about 7 month since I arrived here. I was so excited when I came here. It was new things whatever I see. Such as residence life, Canadian food, shopping mall, restaurant and washroom! haha 

Living in residence is my first time. So, I was worried about it when I decided to live in residence. I thought I might miss my home. But I'm having fun residence life right now! I don't miss Japan! I just miss Japanese food...

And I was surprised about washroom! Because in Japan, There is washlet each washroom. Washlet is      

like machine to clean yours. Besides, we have “otohime”. This is also like machine to listen to sounds. In Winnipeg, both does not exist. 

There are many different things between Winnipeg and Japan. 

The second is Hawaii. I have been to there with my family when I was child. 

Using the plane is my first time! It was ok. I was kind of nervous. But when we get back to Japan, I  liked using the plane.

We went to beautiful beach to swim. And It was summer time, the temperature was so hot! I did  sunburn to red. 

The last day, I had a cold. It was high fever. I couldn't enjoy the last Hawaii day...

The places I have ever visited are both very good. I really want to enjoy more in Winnipeg!!

Korea trip

I'm going to tell about story when I went to Korea with my friend!

It was maybe almost 1 year ago in winter and traveling to Korea is first time for me. We stayed for just 3 days. It was very short time, but we were busy at that time. My friend loves Korea! She have been to Korea 3 times a year. So, she took me there to introduce. 

Actually, I don't remember much...

 I went to Seoul to buy cosmetic and to eat something. When we were walking the street, the clerk advertised and then they gave us free cosmetics sample.  I bought a lot of things. Foundation, lotion and face pack something like that. Maybe...I bought over 30 cosmetics! The cost was just $70. I think it's so cheap. I hard from my friend that Korean cosmetics is very good. Korean cosmetics is better and cheaper than Japan.

Besides, I ate many Korean food! All of them are nice!!　Grilled meat, kimchi, bibimbap, hotteok and so on. The most favorite food is Kang jean kejan(not sure spell exactly..sorry). It's crab food.

If you put rice, will be more and more delicious!! and Hotteok. this is like a pancake. It include cinnamon. When I was 350 levels, Sukyung and KyungHee made it! It was soooo delicious! I love it!

I wanna eat them now!

And we went to Seoul tower at night to see night view. The tower was beautiful! But time was so late. So, we walked to Seoul tower, I was exhaust and so freezing. Unfortunately, we couldn't enter inside because of late. I was shocked, but we could see night view from another place. It's so amazing and beautiful! I was so impressed. We went to massage. The massage was comfortable! The time was 2 am and after that we went to the airport to get back Japan. 

I spent really great time! If I get back Japan, I'd like to go Korea again!!!

Arranged marriages

I'm going to write about arranged marriages.

Arranged marriage is men and women who want to get marry looking each partner for matchmaker. 

Matchmaker is like parents, friend, colleague, relative. It's ok whoever you have something to do with . But as some case, parents force to children marry somebody. Even though the children don't want to marry, they have to marry somebody. Because, to get money( if partner is rich), to advance the status( if the partner's parents are boss)There are some  kind of arranged marriage. 

These days, there is marriage bureau. It's like a place which the stuff find marriage partner who wants to get marry. It doesn't need matchmaker. The stuff will give some information. we can know individual information such as face, family organization, occupation and so on. So, we can choose the marriage partner. 

There is a marriage party. Many men and women come to the party and finding a partner. we can  meet a lot of people. However,  there is the disadvantage of the party. You might not be able to catch your favorite person if someone like your favorite person. In the case, you have to be aggressive.

I think arranged marriage is fortune. Perhaps, you might be able to get good person or you might be able to meet bad person. For me, if I can meet good person, I can't marry the person at the time. I mean, after a lot of dating, I will start thinking about getting marry the person. But I don't prefer arranged marriage because it's hard to like person who I've never met before. 

Although my acquaintance have a few experience of arranged marriage, she said it's impossible to find her type person. I think so. 

Okinawa

Okinawa is one of my favorite place in Japan. Also, this place is famous known as tourist attraction. I have been there just one time as school excursion when i was high school student. It was really fantastic! There are many charms in Okinawa.

First, I went to a beach to swim. The ocean was clear and very clean. I did scuba diving, snorkel and "banana boat".　Banana boat is vehicle in shape of banana.the speed is getting fast. So it will be kind of scary. But If you like feeling thrill, you would fall down on the sea better! Although all of them were really fun, especially, I liked to do scuba diving. Because I could see a lot of fishes inside and touch them. I really want to do that again! I was inspired by Okinawa's ocean.

There is a famous aquarium. The name is "Churaumi aquarium".It used to be the biggest aquarium in the world. So, it has too big aquarium. You can see various fishes such as shark, ray and conger eel. Also you can see dolphin show.

Next, it is about original food. Okinawa food is healthy and beauty for us and has foodstuff to live a long life. Meat food contains a lot of collagen. I was surprised when I had eaten some Okinawa food. Especially, ear of pig. It was strange taste for me. Therefore, I could not eat all. Besides that, green caviar. It is not real caviar. Just looks like caviar. It might be disgusting for some people. It does not taste. We dip it in dressing. such as soy sauce, vinegar and mayonnaise. Almost every food is healthy and yummy!



Okinawa is warm place in Japan. The temperature is almost over 40 degree in summer season. If you go to Japan, you should visit to Okinawa! I think almost everyone will like it because of very beautiful ocean and traditional foods.

Briefly tell about a movie I saw recetly.

I'm going talk about a movie I saw recently.

 The title of movie is “Penelope”. This story about love story.The main character is Penelope who plays Christina Ricci.　She is so cute and beautiful!

Penelope was born in wealthy family. However she has a snout(very ugly nose) because her ancestors were cursed by witch. Her mother care about her snout. So, her mother has never been let Penelope go out. It was boring and terrible for Penelope.  Her parents tried to marry Penelope to somebody to break the curse, but all man who want to get marry Penelope escaped  from her when they saw her nose. One day, Penelope met a only man who did not escape from her. The name is Max(James Mcavoy). Penelope crushed on him. But she was　betrayed by Max once again. Penelope felt disappointed and then she ran away from home to be free!

Outside is exciting for Penelope such as hotel, restaurants, shopping mall and bar. But she can not go out without hiding the nose. Penelope met a woman when she went to the bar and then, she made friends with the woman. One day, she told the newspaper company about her nose by herself to get a lot of money. General people knew her nose and then Penelope was getting famous! Although Penelope did not think no one feel fear her, everyone did not afraid of her!

And The parents of Penelope made an arbitrary decision about her marriage partner. Penelope did not want to get marry  the man. So, she escaped from marriage. Penelope shouted "I want to decide my partner by myself and wanna be free! I like myself! to her mother. And then, Her curse was broken. Penelope got a normal nose!

The end of story, Penelope visited to Max's house to tell her feeling.After all, they got marry! 

It was happy story. I recommend this story if you like a love story!
